Russia exceeds 11,000 daily cases of Covid-19

Moscow, Oct 6 (Prensa Latina) Russia today registered 11, 685 cases of the SARS CoV-2 coronavirus, which caused the Covid-19 pandemic, for the first time since last May 11, while the total figure reached 1,237,504 infected.

The daily growth coefficient now stands at 0.9 percent, while the national transmission rate (number of people infected by a sick person before being isolated) now stands at 1.22, said the general staff for the fight against the disease.

The Moscow City Hall reported 4,082 positive cases in the last 24 hours, the highest number since early May. Of that total, 1, 049 were hospitalized and 253 are connected to artificial respiration devices.

This city reported 1,156 patients who overcame the disease, for a volume of 254,990, while the accumulated number of infected reached 311,559. Thus, the recovery coefficient fell here to 81.84 percent.

Besides, 188 people died in one day, including 34 in St.-Petersburg, 31 in the capital city, 10 in Rostov region, nine in Dagestan republic, while seven were in Irkutsk and Moscow provinces.

Six thousand 252 patients were clinically discharged from hospitals for a total of 988 576. Thus, the national recovery rate dropped to 79.9 percent.
