The president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, inaugurated this Monday the infrastructure of the new building of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly in the presence of representatives of 36 nations and indigenous peoples.
According to Luis Arce, the infrastructure, located in the Government Headquarters, will be useful for the Assembly members to have better conditions to work for their people.
The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Freddy Mamani Laura, welcomed the representatives of the native peoples of the Plurinational State, who participated in the inauguration ceremony.
Mamani said that this is not a simple transfer, but a transformation of the republican State to a Plurinational State, because never again will the Legislative Body be servile to the minority of that social class that enriched itself at the expense of the Bolivian people.
This was celebrated by Arce, who said that the old Republic, longed for by many people, is moving away and the coexistence with the indigenous brothers and sisters is gaining strength.
For his part, the Vice President of the State and President of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly, David Choquehuanca, said that in the new building the ideology of the culture of life and decolonized thinking should be raised.
After the main act, in a short tour, the authorities visited the Lower House, where they could appreciate its amplitude and the technology for the development of the legislative sessions.
