Cuba Marks 50 Years of Diplomatic Relations with Laos

Cuba marked on Monday, November 4th, the 50th year of the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR).
The Cuban Foreign Ministry sent a message of congratulations on X to the people and government of the Asian nation and expressed Cuba’s firm willingness to keep deepening bilateral relations.
In the context of the historical date, Cuban Parliament President Esteban Lazo was welcomed at the seat of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party by Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the political organization and president of the LPDR.
Lazo, who kicked off an official visit to that country on Sunday, said that Cuba and Laos are united by deep bonds of friendship and solidarity, which have strengthened over the years.
The Cuban official and his delegation are scheduled to meet with top government Laotian authorities during his visit.
