What if all the countries of this world meet the right to solidarity? What would this present be like? More utopian than real? We are living in an era almost void of solidarity, an almost generalized lack of that friendly, brotherly gesture, of generosity, modesty, and friendship.

It seems that there are only traces left in story books for children, scripts for some movies and if that were the case, we’d be talking about a society (parents) incapable of interpreting and carrying out the good morals, of educating our children well.

Surely, if we were to wonder what ill thing or event existed today and would most affect man, his habitat and the flora and fauna that surrounds him, many would quickly think first of the pandemic, then of global warming, and consequently the climate change.

However, under many pages, back at the beginning, in the prologue, the cause is well defined. The root of all evils of present time, the first and second world wars, the intentional bombing with atomic bombs is the inhumanity of man himself.

A cruelty and selfishness multiplied as exponentially as negative could that result be. It’s the inequality between rich and poor, university students and illiterates, healthy and ill-nourished, affective and indifferent, privileged and beggars, black and white, men and women.

Difference of thoughts and interests. How to lead life, face and solve problems. By great majority, the Covid has proven that more than a Foul we are a center and huge Strike, since the positive points are few against the negative ones.

But this does not mean that those numbers could not change, life and its challenges are not enough to get carried away, comply with stereotypes or give up. This world needs a change, beyond the political or ideological, one that is more beneficial, humanitarian, supportive.

As our president, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, expressed when he spoke with Cuban internationalist doctors from the Henry Reeve Brigade, as a result of World Human Rights Day, more hearts are needed on this planet.

We must defend "human rights, the right to life and health", but we must also fight for more "humanism, sacrifice, dedication and altruism; example of solidarity and collaboration” as our professionals have done on multiple occasions and scenarios.

It’s nothing more than changing the weight of the scale and raise above the "uncertainty, vanity and selfishness that gives very little chance of inclusion to the poor and helpless majorities," reflected the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba.

You have to work out discrepancies, be more tolerant and understanding, put aside hatred and revenge. A better world is possible when you live and work through the day with your heart in your hand, when bridges of love are fostered and harmony is achieved.
