Mexico, Feb 8 (Prensa Latina) Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador resumed work today and headed the traditional morning press briefing at the National Palace, visibly in good health after recovering from Covid-19

As throughout this year of pandemic, he did not wear a face mask to speak and did not seem stifled after 14 days of isolation in a small apartment in the Palace, where he was hospitalized under the care of a multidisciplinary team headed Doctor Jorge Alcocer, secretary of Health.

First of all, he thanked the Mexican people for its concern and solidarity for his health and the pleas for him to take care of himself.

He also thanked presidents and other leaders of a number of countries who sent him messages of encouragement, as well as the physicians who looked after him those 14 days.

All that time, he was replaced at the meetings by Secretary of Government Olga Sanchez, who also headed the habitual daily meetings at 6 in the morning at the Palace with the health and civic security team, which did not stop a single day.
