Tehran, Dec 7 (Prensa Latina) Iran denounced the cruelty of the US measures against the Islamic Republic in the midst of the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Pars Today agency highlighted on Monday.

The permanent representative of Teheran to the UN, Mayid Tajt Ravanchi, stated that history will record the lack of mercy of the US government in the face of the world's need for empathy and fight against the pandemic.

In statements to the foreign service of Radio and Television of Iran, Tajt Ravanchi condemned the tightening of the US unilateral sanctions at the peak of Covid-19 cases.

Donald Trump's administration lacked mercy by decreeing unilateral and immoral punishment.

Washington's unilateral and oppressive sanctions, which include basic items and even medicines, caused many problems for Iran and other peoples, especially for the afflicted by the new coronavirus, the diplomat pointed out.
