Beijing, Sep 2 (Prensa Latina) The exhibition "La Nasobuqueña Tropical," by renowned Cuban artist Flora Fong, continued touring China and it is now exhibited in southern Guangdong Province, after being previously displayed in Hainan, diplomatic sources reported on Friday.
According to the Cuban consulate general in Guangzhou, the exhibition will be at the Guangdong Overseas Chinese Museum, the Jiangmen Overseas Chinese Museum, and the Taishan Museum, the latter in the birthplace of the painter’s father, until November 8.
The exhibition was previously hosted by an institution in Hainan since late July and was opened on the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the presence of Chinese citizens in Cuba.
Apart from Hainan, it will also be shown in Shanghai and Beijing, to pay tribute to the 62 years of diplomatic relations.
“La Nasobuqueña Tropical” was previously exhibited at Cuba’s National Museum of Fine Arts in November 2021 and comprises 13 medium and large format paintings that propose the re-contextualization of the facemask to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic.
