La Paz, April 20 (RHC)-- Bolivia's former president and leader of the Movement Toward Socialism-Political Instrument for the Sovereignty of the Peoples, Evo Morales, congratulated in a tweet Cuba's President Miguel Díaz-Canel, who celebrates his 62nd birthday on Wednesday.

"Many congratulations, dear Brother president @DiazCanelB, on your birthday!  We admire your courage and loyalty in the daily struggle, together with the Cuban people, for dignity and sovereignty, and your immense solidarity to support the peoples of the world," Evo Morales wrote on his Twitter account.

The first indigenous ex-governor of the Altiplano country thus joined those who congratulate on that social network the also first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba.

A message on behalf of all the workers of the Ministry of Domestic Trade of the nation published the head of the branch, Betsy Díaz.   @Count on us to face all battles.   We will always be on the front line of combat," she said.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Planning, Alejandro Gil, as well as the Ministers Ena Elsa Velázquez, Minister of Education, and Marta Elena Feito, Minister of Labor and Social Security, also congratulated the dignitary.

In reference to the President of the Republic, Deputy Prime Minister Roberto Morales Ojeda wrote: "Leader with a high sense of collective work, who preaches by example. A tenacious man, always in contact with the people. Worthy heir of the legacy of the historic generation of the #Revolution".

For his part, José Ángel Portal Miranda, head of the Ministry of Public Health, expressed his congratulations on behalf of the Ministry.  He assured on the occasion that Díaz-Canel can count on Cuban health workers to fight alongside the people, and in any country where it is necessary, the battle against COVID-19.

The Twitter profile of the BioCubaFarma business group joined the celebration and reiterated the conviction "that we will emerge victorious from this new battle. The more than 20 thousand workers of #BioCubaFarma will always accompany you and we will work tirelessly, that is our gift".

Other institutions that made public their congratulations were the Pharmaceutical Laboratory, the University of Oriente, the Attorney General's Office and the University of Informatics Sciences.

The vice president of the National Assembly of People's Power, Ana María Mari Machado, meanwhile, said that "the best gift we can give you, the millions of Cubans who admire you and accompany you to give continuity to our great work #CubaSocialist, is to do well each one of us what corresponds to us. Count on us (...)"
