The 10th arts competition Drawing Europe - with its closing time approaching - is likely to lure Cuban children with a particular penchant for drawing into depicting that continent on paper.
Under the theme “Drawing literary bridges between Cuba and Europe,” the call is for children aged 5-12 year to reflect
on European literary works and authors who influenced Cuban culture, as well as literary symbols of both regions.
The La Papeleta cultural bulletin announced that the deadline for entrants is Monday, April 7, and the jury will award three prizes for each category and as many mentions as appropriate.
Prizes will also be awarded by theme, in accordance with the diversity of content.
The awarding ceremony will be held at the Palacio del Segundo Cabo (Segundo Cabo Palace), in Old Havana district, on May 5.
The Center for the Interpretation of Cuba-Europe Cultural Relations at the Office of the Historian of Havana and the Delegation of the European Union (EU) in Cuba convened the competition.
