Cuban pitcher remains unbeatable in Japan

Cuban pitcher Raidel Martinez shined again from the mound of the legendary Tokyo Dome and extended his absolute command in the Nippon Professional Baseball League to 26 2/3 scoreless innings.
Once again, the "supersonic" ace hogtied the last three hitters he faced―striking out two of them―to notch up his 22nd save of the season in his Yomiuri Giants' 2-1 victory over the Nippon Ham Fighters.
As more than 42,000 fans watched from the stands, Martinez made it clear that he’s not on a winning streak but building a kingdom: only the Japanese Shinya Matsuyama has saved more games this year in the Central League (26), but Raidel is hot on his heels… and with a firm step.
The Cuban boasts a 1-0 record, with 26 strikeouts and eight walks in 26.2 innings in which he has allowed only 13 hits.
