Iranian Defensive Operation Strikes Israeli Military Sites and Critical Infrastructure
especiales

According to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), this "combined offensive operation" targeted, among other sites, weapons depots, aviation fuel production facilities, and energy supply centers of the Zionist regime, utilizing a “multitude of drones and hypersonic missiles.”
The strikes hit areas in Tel Aviv, the port city of Haifa, and the Nevatim Air Base, where Israeli forces station F-35 fighter jets used in operations over Gaza and against Iran.
Iranian missiles also struck Ben Gurion International Airport, and significant destruction was reported in Kiryat Gat as part of what Tehran calls an act of self-defense.
Additional Iranian projectiles hit the Rafael weapons factory, known for producing armored military vehicles, robotic combat systems, and a range of weaponry alleged to have been used in the killing of thousands of Palestinians.
Although the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed efforts were underway to intercept the incoming rockets, images and videos shared on social media showed that the Iron Dome and THAAD missile defense systems—operated with U.S. support—failed to intercept a significant number of the missiles.
Reports indicate that U.S. military bases in Jordan—where thousands of American troops are stationed across more than twenty locations—attempted to intercept the projectiles, but those efforts were unsuccessful.
Iran reiterated that it does not seek war, but emphasized it will defend its sovereignty and escalate retaliatory strikes if Tel Aviv continues its aggression.
This wave of attacks is part of Operation True Promise 3, launched in response to Israeli airstrikes since last Friday that have killed at least 128 Iranians, mostly women and children, and left around 1,000 injured.
Following a previous Iranian attack earlier the same day, Israeli media confirmed that Iranian missiles and drones caused substantial damage to critical infrastructure and military installations. The Israel Oil Refineries Company (IORC) reported damage to pipelines and transportation lines in Haifa, while the Hadera power plant was also reportedly targeted.
Iran stated it deployed advanced medium-range missiles, including the Badr, Kheibar Shekan, and Emad models.
According to a statement from Iran’s Armed Forces, “offensive operations will become more intense and widespread if atrocities and attacks persist.” The IRGC aerospace defense system also claimed to have intercepted and destroyed three cruise missiles, ten drones, and dozens of smaller Israeli aircraft within Iranian airspace.
This exchange of strikes underscores a significant escalation in the regional conflict.
