Díaz-Canel present at evaluation meeting in Santiago de Cuba

Havana, January 19 (RHC)-- With the presence of Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, a meeting began Thursday to evaluate the development potentialities of the province of Santiago de Cuba.
The Presidency reported on Twitter that the first president arrived in that eastern territory from the neighboring province of Guantanamo - accompanied by the Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz - where a similar meeting took place this morning.
"From Guantánamo to Santiago de Cuba: President @DiazCanelBcontinues the journey in the Heroine City where the possibilities of development of the Santiago de Cuba territory are evaluated, to move forward in 2023."
José Ramón Monteagudo Ruíz, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the PCC in Santiago de Cuba, presented at the meeting (number 11) the plan of economic, political and social measures to face 2023, which he defined as a year that will be hard work.
"The plan of economic, political and social measures of Santiago de Cuba is presented to face the challenges of "a year that will be hard work", as said @RamnMonte01, First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party."
We resume this week the profitable dialogues in the provinces to make this 2023 a better year, in which all the potentialities of the territories are deployed, Diaz-Canel said in a tweet on Thursday, at the beginning of his tour of the east of the country.
The Presidency recalled in the same social network that these meetings are part of a cycle of meetings that evaluates the country's potentialities to face the current circumstances in the economic and social spheres.
