Diaz-Canel participates in book presentation in tribute to Fidel Castro

With the presence of Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and president of the country, the title Words that Inspire, by Keyla Estevez Garcia and Yuniel Labacena Romero, was presented today at the Fidel Castro Ruz Center.

The event is included among the activities in commemoration of the 98th anniversary of the birth of the Commander-in-Chief and the International Youth Day, by combining phrases, speeches, statements and messages of the historic leader of the Revolution and Diaz-Canel, addressed to young Cubans.

In this way, a broad material is compiled from April 4, 1962, at the 1st Congress of the Association of Young Rebels, precursor of the Young Communist League (UJC by its Spanish acronym), until the 12th edition of these meetings, held on April 3 and 4, 2024.

Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC, Meyvis Estevez Echeverria, first secretary of the National Committee of the UJC, Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, deputy prime minister, and the outstanding intellectual Abel Prieto Jimenez, president of Casa de las Americas and author of the prologue of the compendium, among other authorities and personalities, will accompany the president.
