Diaz-Canel holds talks with the head of the National Institute of Associativism and Social Economy of Argentina

Havana, March 31 (RHC)-- Cuban President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, held a meeting on Wednesday with the president of the National Institute of Associativism and Social Economy of Argentina (INAES), Alexandre Roig.

"We shared experiences in the cooperative sector and local development, and the need to foster more collaboration between both countries," the Cuban head of State wrote on Twitter, adding that "it was a pleasure" to receive Roig. 

INAES is the agency under Argentina's Ministry of Social Development, which exercises the functions of the State in matters of promotion, development, and control of cooperative and mutual benefit societies. According to the Argentine Government's website, its missions also include technical, economic, and financial assistance to those entities.

Its main objectives are strengthening institutional relations with national and international organizations, articulating with the competent provincial organizations, training tasks, project follow-up, and joint promotion of cooperatives and mutual benefit societies.
