Diaz-Canel attends 45th anniversary celebration of the Havana Convention Center

Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country, presided over today the commemorative ceremony marking the 45th anniversary of the founding of the Havana Convention Center.

Members of the Political Bureau Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister, and Ulises Guilarte, General Secretary of the Cuban Workers Association (CTC by its Spanish acronym), are also attending the celebration, in which the Palace was recognized with the 85th anniversary seal of the CTC.

Yaima Valdes Martinez, director of the institution, scenario of the most important national and international events developed in the country, recalled Celia Sanchez Manduley, promoter of the building, and Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, who is present at every moment.
