Havana Club rum products are selling in markets of 125 countries of the world, with record sales reporting an 8 percent growth in fiscal 2024.
Havana Club rum is considered the Pernod Ricard brand with the fastest growth, said Biana Leiva, communications and public relations officers with Havana Club International Co.
Major market for Havana Club include Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the U.K., in Europe; Chile, Canada, Argentina and Mexico in The Americas. Sales of the Cuban rum in the US are banned by Washington’s economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba, said the executive.
The presence of Havana Club at this year’s Varadero International Gourmet Festival offers an opportunity to tighten links with clients and collaborators, and to also present the Seventh Gorumand, a homage to Cuban and French cultures.
As a joint venture, Havana Club was set up in 1993 by Cuba Ron Company S.A. in charge of rum production and by the Pernod Ricard French group, which promotes the brand Havana Club in the international market, through a distribution network.
