Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero on Saturday favored a more efficient policy based on further municipal autonomy for local governments throughout the country.
At a working meeting in western Artemisa province, Marrero reviewed the implementation of the new economic measures, and called on local governments to seek agile responses and solutions.
'Autonomy must achieve agile solutions based on our own resources, the first thing that our cadres have to change is the mindset,' the head of Government noted.
He also urged to establish more complete work systems and increase food production on the basis of the new measures approved recently by the Ministry of Agriculture.
'We have to plant more short cycles, produce more to guarantee the need of Cubans,' he added.
