Cuban party leader expresses solidarity with Venezuela and Maduro

The Secretary of Organization of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales, on Sunday expressed solidarity with Venezuela and President Nicolás Maduro, in light of the attempts to ignore the results of the presidential elections in that country.

On his X profile, the PCC leader stated that the Venezuelan people demonstrated the validity of the lineage of (Simón) Bolívar and the strength of (Hugo) Chávez.

With the indisputable leadership of President @NicolasMaduro they have defended the country’s sovereignty and peace from those who insist on attacking and discrediting the nation, he pointed out in his message. Venezuela’s Supreme Court of Justice certified President Nicolás Maduro’s victory last Thursday after a formal review of the results of the presidential elections.

The ruling confirmed that “in an unrestricted and unequivocal manner (…) the bulletins issued by the National Electoral Council are supported by the minutes of the votes issued by each of the machines.”
