Cuban FM congratulates Vietnamese counterpart on new appointment

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Tuesday congratulated his Vietnamese counterpart, Bui Thanh Son, on his appointment as deputy prime minister.

On his X account, Rodriguez wished the Vietnamese foreign minister success in his new position.

The head of Cuban diplomacy expressed his country’s will to continue to consolidate the relations of brotherhood and solidarity between the two nations.

On Sunday, Vietnam’s National Assembly approved the appointments of Nguyen Hoa Binh, Ho Duc Phoc and Bui Thanh Son as deputy prime ministers, and Do Duc Duy and Nguyen Hai Ninh will take over the reins of the ministries of Natural Resources and Environment, and Justice, respectively.

Cuba and Vietnam established diplomatic relations, which both governments agree to describe as excellent, on December 2, 1960.
