Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister begins visit to Ethiopia

Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Elio Rodríguez Perdomo will begin a visit to Ethiopia on Monday to participate in the First Session of the Preparatory Committee for the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development.

During his stay, the Cuban Deputy Minister will carry out a program of activities that includes exchanges with high-level officials from the Ethiopian government, the laying of a wreath in tribute to the fallen Cubans in Ethiopia and the celebration of the National Rebellion Day.

The visit will be an opportunity to highlight the historical ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between Cuba and Ethiopia; to exchange on issues of common interest and to ratify the will to continue strengthening bilateral relations.

The Cuban delegation is also composed of the Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia and other officials of that diplomatic mission.
