Cuban actress Ana de Armas is nominated for Screen Actors Guild Award

Cuban actress Ana de Armas is competing for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Leading Female Performance, which will be granted in the city of Los Angeles on Sunday.

The young actress was nominated for this major award for her interpretation of Marilyn Monroe in the movie Blonde, a category that also includes Cate Blanchet (TAR), Viola Davis (The King Woman), Danielle Deadwyler (Till), and Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere at the Same Time).

The Actors Guild awards that will be announced tonight at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles reward the best achievements in film and television performances in different categories in the year.
