The National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Jose Jaramillo, will close the 27th International Music Industry Fair, Cubadisco 2024, which has brought together the most significant exponents of national and international music.
Dedicated to Colombia, the closing gala will be held at the Covarrubias Hall of Havana’s Teatro Nacional, and will be honored with the virtuosity of that Colombian musician and his compatriot and percussionist Samuel Torres.
The Pabellon Cuba cultural center, specifically at La Pergola hall, will host the events on the closing day for the “Siente la Música Conversando con Nuestros Artistas” forum, which has brought together important figures of the musical universe.
Two other spaces of that cultural institution, La Brújula Hall and the Central Stage, will host concerts by the Arsenio Rodriguez band, Bryan Sánchez, and the Failde Orchestra.
The Arte Habana cultural center will be open to Mujeres en Cubadisco, Proyecto Música es Mujer, Hera de Cuba, Ellas Cantan, Emy Abreu Sabor, and B’ Jazz, while Coro Diminuto, a children’s choir, directed by Maestra Carmen Rosa Lopez, and La Máquina de la Melancolia will entertain children and adults at the El Sauce cultural center.
On Sunday, Milagros de los Ángeles and guests Luis Manuel Molina and Cecilio Tieles will perform at the ALBA Cultural Center in Havana, and the Entrevoces Chamber Choir will perform at the Mariano Rodriguez Gallery.
The fair, dedicated this year to country music and Colombia as a guest of honor, also featured the Cubadisco 2024 International Symposium under the theme “Sounds, Identities and Regions,” which discussed several aspects of the sound environment.
