Cuba reports 814 new cases of Covid-19 and no deaths

Havana, March 30 (RHC)-- Cuba reported on Tuesday 814 new positive cases of Covid-19, an increase of 193 from the previous day, and no deaths.
There are 3,684 confirmed active, according to the daily report released by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
The province with the highest incidence during the day, with more than 100, was the central province of Ciego de Avila (171).
Cuba accumulates one million 89,452 diagnosed with the pathogen since March 11, 2020, and the total number of fatalities due to the pandemic reached 8,510.
On Monday, Cuban specialists predicted a progressive increase in the number of people confirmed and hospitalized due to the pandemic. Government authorities made a call to take extreme sanitary measures and speed up the application of booster vaccines.
Doctor of Medical Sciences and specialist of the Pedro Kourí Institute of Tropical Medicine, Daniel González, pointed out that the current decrease in serious and critical cases,the low number of deaths, and the better response seen in patients with pneumonia, is due to the high levels of immunity of the population thanks to the Cuban vaccines against the disease.
