Cuba reports 66 new Covid-19 cases

Havana, Aug 12 (Prensa Latina) Cuba on Friday reported 66 new Covid-19 contagions, 398 active cases who are in hospitals, including five patients who are seriously-ill at intensive care units, and no deaths were reported as a result of the disease in the last 24 hour

According to the daily report from the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), Cuba has so far accumulated 1,109,259 contagions since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country in March 2020, and the death toll remains at 8,529.

According to the official report, 630 patients are in hospitals or at home nationwide, 232 of whom are suspected cases.

At a press briefing on television, MINSAP added that 112 patients were discharged, so the total number of recovered patients rose to 1,100,273 (99.2 percent of all cases).
