Cuba reports 40 new cases of COVID-19

The Ministry of Public Health reported the diagnosis of 40 new COVID-19 cases on the island after the performance of some 9,000 PCR tests.
Cuba now has a cumulative total of 7 184 people who have tested positive since the beginning of the pandemic and 129 fatalities.
In a press release, the Ministry said that as of 12 midnight, 4 956 patients remained hospitalized. Of them, 551 were confirmed cases. Six remain in Intensive Care Units, 4 in critical and two in serious condition.
On Wednesday, 108 patients were released, bringing to 6 502 the number of people who have recovered from the disease.
