Malignant hemopathies, side effects to transfusions, hemotherapy, and coagulation are issues to be discussed on the third day of the 2023 Hematology Congress being held in Cuba.

Participants in the Congress at the Havana International Conference Center, until May 19, will also discuss issues such as hematopoietic cell transplantation, personalized medicine, and blood management.

On Tuesday, the Cuban Hemophilia Society(SCH) showed some progress in medical and scientific works and strategies to improve the quality of life for people living with that disease.

One of SCH’s breakthroughs is a greater presence in digital platforms, whether in social media, messaging, videos, and podcasts, one of SHC’s directors, Michel Soriano, said at the 5th Workshop on Hemophilia and Other Coagulation Disorders.

Soriano referred to the importance of creating a group of hemophilia patients and medical teams so that both sides can reach further interactions.
