Cuba, guest of honor at Dominican Dance Festival

Santo Domingo, Sep 22 (Prensa Latina) The 17th edition of the International Contemporary Dance Festival (Edanco 2022) will begin in the Dominican Republic on September 25 with Cuba as the guest of honor, it was announced here.
The event, which will be held until October 9, will take place in several venues in the capital and its opening gala will be at the National Gallery of Fine Arts with Crumbs by Polish choreographer Monika Wachowicz.
According to Fundacion Encuentro de Danza Contemporanea, in addition to Cuba, dancers from Costa Rica, Spain, Poland, Chile, the United States, Canada, and the Dominican Republic will participate in the event.
On September 27, there will be a gala by the Cuban company Mal Paso, and on September 28 the second season of Compañia Nacional de Danza Contemporanea will be premiered with the choreography Roto, by Jozze Antonio Sanchez and Dayme del Toro, both performances will be given at the Manuel Rueda Hall of the School of Fine Arts.
On September 29 and 30, the Gaspar Company from the United States will delight the Dominican audience at Plaza Iberoamerica, among other activities in the program.
There will be workshops by national and international masters, video screenings and a big party with dancers, musicians, painters and other artists in a Dominican Night at Casa de la Musica, located in the Colonial City.
