Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Monday condemned in strong terms the bombings by Israeli forces on the city of Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip, where 100 Palestinians were killed.

When we thought we had seen and suffered everything, the genocidal State of Israel viciously attacked the place where more than one million Palestinians had found refuge, the president denounced on his X account.

“The images are horrible, we condemn in the harshest terms what is happening there,” he stressed.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez warned on the same platform that the Israel’s offensive in Rafah ignores the calls from the international community to respect International Humanitarian Law and to stop the extermination of the Palestinian people.

The head of Cuban diplomacy assured that the bombing of 1.4 million people crowded into 55 square kilometers is new evidence of Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

The official Wafa news agency (Palestine) reported more than 40 air raids at night and this morning against homes and mosques in downtown Rafah.

Health authorities in the Gaza Strip indicated that Israel’s aviation launched intense bombings against the city, where 1.4 million people, most of them displaced by the aggression, are taking refuge.

According to official statistics, more than 28,170 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 68,000 have been injured in the coastal enclave since the beginning of the new cycle of violence on October 7.
