Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), and Aleksander Drozdenko, Governor of the Leningrad region, agreed today to materialize projects in the sectors of Education, Health, Tourism, and Agriculture.
In a series of posts on his X social media account, Morales Ojeda, who is on a working visit to Russia, described the exchange with Drozdenko as highly productive and valuable. He affirmed that significant untapped potential exists to advance together and elevate the well-being of both peoples.
Shared Vision and Historical Homage
"We are always thinking of those who know how to care and the future they are building. We visited the Quantorium children's technology park in St. Petersburg, an essential space for vocational training, similar to our pioneers' palaces, from which we are taking away valuable experiences," the party leader stated.
On behalf of the PCC and the Cuban people, Morales Ojeda paid tribute at the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery to the heroes of the Siege of Leningrad, where more than 700,000 victims of the 900-day siege during the Second World War are laid to rest.
A Unified Stance on Sovereignty
He affirmed that Leningrad stands as a living example of resistance and love for one's homeland, as well as the struggle for the peace that humanity needs. "Inspired by that firmness," he noted, "the peoples of Cuba and Russia defend their independence together."
The current visit by Morales Ojeda to this Eurasian country, which began this Tuesday in response to an invitation from the United Russia party, aims to consolidate the profound bonds of friendship between the parties, governments, and peoples of the two nations.
