Washington, Jul 28 (Prensa Latina) The Bridges of Love solidarity movement on Thursday called for a new World Caravan coming July 31 in Miami opposing the US blockade against.

On social media, Prof. Carlos Lazo´s solidarity group invited all people to join such an initiative in favor of the Cuban family.

“Let’s go together,” said the audiovisual published by Bridges of Love on the Internet, while reiterating: “No more blockade against Cuba!”

Caravanists will gather on Sunday morning in Coral Gables, an action that will be replicated in different US cities and in other countries including Canada, Mexico, South Africa, Belgium, Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Japan and Spain, among others.

Every last weekend of each month, caravanists call for President Joe Biden to lift all sanctions against Cuba and eliminate the unilateral blockade imposed on Cuba for over 60 years.

Bridges of Love project is part of the growing wave inside and outside the United States calling for the end of the blockade and for both sides to move on along the path of understanding.

Joe Biden promised to reverse failed policies towards Cuba imposed by his predecessor Donald Trump, but 18 months after his assumption as president all sanctions and measures have kept unchanged.

On May 16, the Joe Biden administration announced some measures on visas, regular migration, flights to Cuban provinces, remittances and adjustments to regulations for transactions with the non-state sector; however, they did not touch the very essence of the blockade.

In this regard, the Cuban authorities expressed it is a limited step in the right track, but announcements do not change the blockade at all or Donald Trump´s economic measures.
