The 36th International Book Fair of Bogota (FILBo) will take place at the Corferias fairgrounds between April 17 and May 2, according to official information.
A press release from the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge said that the guest of honor will be Brazil, which will have a 3,000-square-meter pavilion.
During the event, Brazil will promote talks, exhibitions and tributes to representative names of contemporary Brazilian literature, audiovisual contents, handicrafts and a gastronomic space that will exalt its cuisine, the Ministry noted.
With guests from 22 nations, the literary event will defend the motto “Read Nature,” under which a broad cultural and professional program on environmental care will be available to the public.
The source added that the book fair will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the novel “La Vorágine,” by José Eustasio Rivera, and the 100th birthday of Colombian writer Arnoldo Palacios.
