The L Gallery of University Extension is hosting Monday at its headquarters the collective exhibition "Looking for the Core", as part of the first International Biennial of Political Humor that takes place in this capital.

The exhibition is made up of a selection of works from the collection of the National Council of Plastic Arts (CNAP) and others on loan for the occasion, which addresses humor not only in the political, but also in the erotic, every day and other facets. It also has pieces by important artists such as Rene de la Nuez, Fremez, Osneldo Garcia, Lazaro Saavedra and Ares, among others.

The link of the first edition of the International Biennial of Political Humor continues this week with the university environment, as visits, dialogues, and activities with young people are marked in the program.

On Wednesday, June 26, at 10:00 local time, there will be a visit to the University of the Arts, where there will be a discussion on graphic humor in Cuba and Show Works with students.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, June 27, at the same time, there will be a visit to the San Alejandro National Academy of Fine Arts, where several activities are planned.

Likewise, there will be the opening of an exhibition with funds from the Museum of Humor in San Antonio de los Baños, located in the western province of Artemisa.

In addition, there will be an exhibition of posters on Political Humor from the personal collection of the 2021 National Design Award winner Jose Alberto (Pepe) Menendez Sigarroa and a discussion on graphic humor in the visual arts and Show Works with students of the San Alejandro National Academy of Fine Arts.

The first International Biennial of Political Humor will close on June 28th, focused on the fight against neo-fascism as the central theme and with the participation of over 40 cartoonists from 22 countries.
