I come to commit myself to the workers and to those who dream of a sovereign Argentina with autonomous decisions, said the presidential candidate of Unión por la Patria, Sergio Massa, today during an event in San Miguel de Tucumán.

Accompanied by governors, deputies and leaders, the Minister of Economy promised members of social and union organizations to defend the national industry, education, retirement, scientific-technical development and the growth of all regions of the country.

We begin the path to the Presidency. We will change history and build a victory on October 22. I am committed to the great north, the most unjustly neglected region of Argentina, he stated.

Today we are in the capital of our independence to confirm that we will defend our homeland tooth and nail against any attempt to destroy national integrity, he stated.

Likewise, he assured that he will be the president of labor and who will return to employees their purchasing power, “the dignity of discussing and achieving a better income, not from the recipe imposed by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), but from what “Let us decide in free will(special commissions).”

Massa pointed out that he will build a government that knows how to accompany each business, company and citizen.

On the other hand, he denounced that former president Mauricio Macri took this nation to the largest mortgage in its history and left it on its knees in front of the IMF by contracting a debt of 56 billion dollars with that organization.

The time has come to tell the IMF that we are going to pay them to leave and let us decide sovereignly. We dream of a country in which we all help each other and grow together, he said.

The candidate warned about the opposition’s threats to eliminate public schools, close ministries and end the programs promoted until now.

The best way to build a more just society and fight poverty is education. We will defend free, inclusive and quality universities, but we will also promote a process of greater investment in the sector, he indicated.

I call on you to a new federal pact with more resources for the provinces. I invite you to move forward together. You will find in me a president who breaks his heart working because he dreams of an Argentina that is equal for everyone, he stated.

I ask you for one last effort: that we go neighborhood by neighborhood, house by house, business by business, to tell each citizen that the worst is over and a new time is coming, he concluded.
