Deputies of Cuba´s National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba (ANPP) on Thursday highlighted the significance of people´s control and involvement in confrontations with crimes, irregularities and social indiscipline committed in Cuba.

Deputy Reyna de la Caridad Torres told Prensa Latina that analyzing such problematics at ANPP´s First Ordinary Sessions is quite important, since these are issues causing trouble to the Cuban people nowadays.

She also pointed out that it is pivotal to promote people´s involvement and control actions to “prove that our people have the power”.

She specified that citizens must “strongly denounce as they witness any of these problems that are detrimental to our own development, to our welfare”.

She recalled the Government set a group of guidelines past October for confronting with crime.

For deputy Marilyn Salgado, the districts are important scenarios to prevent illegalities.

She told Prensa Latina that deputies must encourage some actions to crack down on corruption and social indiscipline.
