The 41st Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2025) opens today at 10 a.m. at the Expocuba venue. From this first day, five thematic areas will promote projects and sectors prioritized for the country's economic and social development.
The largest commercial event in Cuba and the region will host entrepreneurs, private business owners, specialists, and official and chamber delegations from approximately 50 nations, all seeking to establish alliances and business deals. Its realization occurs amidst a highly complex local and international situation.
Confronting a tightened U.S. blockade, financial subversions, the impact of a devastating hurricane, and other limitations, the Island will showcase its potential for exports and foreign investment.
Thematic Areas and Focus
One of the thematic areas is named Hecho en Cuba, featuring the exhibition of 40 national export products and services from various territories and designated industrial zones.
Another is dedicated to the Energy Transition, where the development of renewable energies in the country, along with the perspectives and potential for energy transformation, will be presented to economic actors and foreign companies.
A further thematic area inaugurated on this first day of FIHAV 2025 concerns Artificial Intelligence. It will interactively display the main technological applications developed across various sectors, as well as successful case studies employing AI.
The Forum on Integration and Development Mechanisms, another novelty, will be dedicated to schemes in which the largest of the Antilles participates. It will, therefore, showcase projects and sectors with potential within their member nations. These include ALBA-TCP, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI), and the BRICS economic bloc, the functioning of which will be the subject of a panel.
A fifth thematic area is named Cuba Única, featuring a comprehensive promotion of the tourism sector with innovative projects across different business modalities to enhance the export of services.
The program for this inaugural day also includes the Cuba-Russia business forum in the Expocuba Executive Hall.
The 41st Havana International Fair, where all provinces and export-producing zones will be represented, will run until Saturday, November 29th, when public access will be permitted.
