especiales
The Gran Teatro de la Habana Alicia Alonso will host the performances scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the main male figures Dani Hernandez and Victor Estevez in one of the most famous ballets in classical dance worldwide.
Based in the work of De l’Allemagne (1835), by German writer Heinrich Heine, the ballet tells the story of a young innocent girl who is surprised by the deceit and confined to a gloomy existence, far away from her beloved Albrecht.
With music by French composer Adolphe Adam, the story tends to phantasy to create a romantic plot tinged with moments of sadness, betrayal and love.
Founded in 1948 by the prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso and the brothers Fernando and Alberto Alonso, Cuba’s National Ballet is at present a referent for the entire world for its high artistic and technical level.
The company is the highest expression of Cuban ballet school and it has a prominent place in the Hispano-American contemporary culture.
