China and Cuba promoted cultural exchanges in this city on Tuesday through a lecture by Cuban artist Emilio Wong Ramirez at a local elementary school.

Organized with the support of the Cuban Cultural Exchange Center of the China-Latin America Industrial Park (CLIP), the activity focused on increasing students’ knowledge of the Caribbean nation.

During the conference, Wong explained Cuba’s traditions, history, and cultural singularity to the children.

He also highlighted the bonds of friendship between China and Cuba, based on common historical struggles, mutual political trust, and growing multi-sectoral cooperation.

The artist shared details about Cuban children’s daily life and education, giving the participants a direct insight into the island’s society.

The children from Jingzhou N.2 Elementary School in this city and the artist exchanged comments, questions, and concerns, emphasizing the importance of building bridges between distant cultures.
