Successful concerts by Cuban soprano Barbara Llanes in Bogota

The soloist was presented in a packed theater at auditorium León de Greiff of the National University of Colombia, permanent seat of the group where she was applauded for her interpretation of classical operas by Gaetano Donizetti, Vicenzo Bellini and Giuseppe Verdi.
Despite that, the Cuban zarzuela Cecilia Valdes, by Cuban Gonzalo Roig, was the one she had to perform by the public’s request during her second presentation in Bogota.
Likewise, she was very favorably received when singing Te espero en la eternidad, by Cuban composer Adolfo Guzman.
Barbara Llanes said to Prensa Latina news agency about her satisfaction for both concerts since she was rewarded by the great sensitivity and joy of the audience that so welcomed her.
The artist highly praised the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogota with which she performed in both occasions, with a great control and an impeccable instrumental performance in the areas of operas in its repertoire.
Maestro Belli on his part, who was also a guest director with Cuba’s Philharmonic Orchestra—he is an Honorary Guest in it—praised the presentation of Barbara. “she has an excellent musical education; she is one of those that not only sing, but they make good music”, he said.
