Raul Receives VP and FM of Venezuela

Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, received Delcy Eloina Rodriguez, Sector Vice-president for Political Sovereignty, Peace and Security and Minister of the People's Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
During the friendly meeting, held on the afternoon of Friday, March 11, they spoke about the excellent relations existing between the two countries and reaffirmed their willingness to continue strengthening them. The Army General ratified Cuba's demand that the Executive 13692 Order is eliminated and reiterated the unconditional support of the Cuban people for the fraternal Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the government of President Nicolas Maduro and the civic-military union struggling to keep peace, constitutional order and the achievements of the Revolution. They also spoke about various issues on the regional and international agendas.
Previously, the visiting Foreign Minister held meetings with the ministers of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez, and Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, respectively, with whom she assessed the bilateral agenda to strengthen political relations, and reviewed the implementation of the Cuba-Venezuela Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement, in particular the new proposals for cooperation and trade between the two countries.
Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and the island's Ambassador to Venezuela, Rogelio Polanco.
