President of Costa Rica Travels to Cuba with Broad Trade Agenda

More than 50 businessmen will accompany the President of Costa Rica, Luis Guillermo Solis, on his first official visit to Cuba on Sunday, reported an official statement. The text said that this visit to the island is focused on promoting trade, while completes the process of normalization of diplomatic relations dynamic agenda, which were restored in 2009.

The coming Monday Solis will participate in a business meeting organized by the Foreign Trade Corporation of Costa Rica (PROCOMER) and the Centre for the Promotion of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba.

PROCOMER also organized a meeting on 14 and 15 a meeting to explore possible sources of investment in the Caribbean island for Costa Rican companies, said the website of the Presidency. The detailed information included that than fifty entrepreneurs who travel to Cuba make three chambers representing the private sector and 23 productive sectors of the economy.

Solis will give a lecture in the auditorium of the San Geronimo University College of Havana on the history of relations between the two nations.
