The advances of Cuba in the health, the education and the sport were recognized by the governor of this capital, Galal Mustafa al Said in an interview with the ambassador Laureano Rodriguez, reported today a diplomatic source. Likewise he specified his desire to work for developing and strengthening the relations between Cuba and Egypt in all the spheres of bilateral interest, added the spokesman of the Cuban embassy.
The governor coincided with the need to develop the relations and highlighted that the Cuban experience might be of a lot of interest for Egypt, especially in the struggle against the illiteracy, which in these moments affects approximately 17,000,000 Egyptians.
Both ambassador Rodriguez and his host emphasized the historical bonds of friendship between Cuba and Egypt, founders of the Movement of Nonaligned Countries, who they have presided, and the friendship between the two leaders of world size: the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro and the president Gamal Abdel Nasser.
Egypt is one of the states that in a systematical way votes in the UN in favor of the resolution that demands to end the economic, financial and commercial blockade of the United States against Cuba, imposed for more than half a century ago.
