Raul Castro Inaugurates Fifth CARICOM-Cuba Summit

With the welcoming remarks by Cuban President Raul Castro, the Fifth CARICOM-Cuba Summit this Monday morning in Havana.
In the opening session of the event, underway at the Palace of the Revolution, Gaston A. Browne, prime minister of Antigua and Barbuda, will address the forum in his capacity as President Pro Tempore of the Caribbean Community, and Irwin LaRocque, secretary general of the regional mechanism.
Fifth CARICOM-Cuba Summit Underway in Havana
A large representation of leaders and personalities of the member nations will discuss during the meeting issues of vital importance to consolidate their social economic and political integration.
The agenda will include the evolution of the main challenges facing the area, among these, climate change, natural disasters confronting and official development assistance.
