Former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark asserted on Thursday in this capital that the case of the five Cubans condemned to prison in his country exemplifies the injustice prevailing in U.S. courts.

During his address to participants in the opening of the 10th International Colloquium for the Freedom of The Five and against Terrorism, at Havana’s Convention Center, he also said that the attitude of the Cuban antiterrorists in the United States does not constitute any crime.

They have been the victims of a quite unfair system, to the point of considering that their noble actions to protect the society of the two countries were a criminal act and they had to pay for it, pointed out Clark.

Solidarity groups, academicians and religious persons among other delegates also hold exchanges on Friday in Havana about the current situation of The Five and promote new actions of solidarity with their cause.

The opening of the Colloquium was presided over by Jose Ramon Balaguer, member of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party and head of its Department of International Relations, and Fernando Gonzalez, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and Vice-president of the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples.
