The Syrian Army and allied forces, with support from their own aviation and Russia''s, repelled terrorist attacks in the south and west of the city of Aleppo, 350 kilometers north of Damascus, military sources said.

The armed rebels, from at least 15 different organizations grouped in a so-called Army of the Conquest, continue their efforts to reduce the pressure from the Syrian Armed Forces in a large area of more than 200 square kilometers.

In the latest attacks, the terrorist followed their usual tactic of using car bombs driven by suicide bombers in northwestern Aleppo, but they had 35-50 deadly casualties, so they withdrew to Kafr Hamra.

In the south, they fell back to the town of Khan Tuman, according to reports.

In addition, the sources pointed out that three high-ranking terrorist leaders, identified as Ahmad al-Hayedk, Salah al-Mahmud and Shamseddin Abu Mahmud, were killed in the latest clashes, and more than 15 armored vehicles were destroyed.

Meanwhile, Syrian and Russian aviation bombed camps of those groups near the military academies of Aleppo and in the towns of Kafr Hamra, Khan al Assal, Marata, Khan Tuman, Tel Bazo and Um Kare.

On Sunday and Monday, heavy clashes continued between Syrian troops and the terrorists in the military academy of Al-Hikma, in the southwest, near the area of Ramouse and Zone 1070, they said. According to the latest reports from site, the terrorists lost another supply route and are trying to reinforce their position in Al-Layramoun and other districts on the outskirts of the city.

The operations in the region of Aleppo involve at least 15,000 troops from the warring parties who are using artillery and armored vehicles, as well as rocket launchers, among other military means.
