Louis hid when the shooting started and got out of the concert hall.
“The little one, according to what they told us, hid inside the theater as soon as he heard the shots and managed to escape,” Maria Eliana San Martin, the boy’s great-aunt, told the El Mercurio newspaper.
“A woman found him in the street. He is safe, unharmed, but now without his mother and grandmother,” San Martin said.
Patricia San Martin, a 61-year-old Chilean citizen, and her 35-year-old French-born daughter, Elsa Veronique Delplace San Martin, were among the three Chilean victims of the terrorist attack on the Bataclan concert hall on Friday night, the Chilean Foreign Ministry said Saturday.
Luis Felipe Zschoche Valle, a 35-year-old musician based in Paris, was the third Chilean murdered by the terrorists at the concert hall.
David Fritz, who was born in Pucon, Chile, was among those held hostage for several hours by the terrorists at the Bataclan and survived.
“They weren’t thinking about letting me live, it’s just that they didn’t have time to kill me because the police arrived,” Fritz told the press.
“They pointed a machine gun at me. They asked me where I was from and what I did for a living,” the young barman said.
Fritz, who was taken hostage along with two friends, was able to speak with his family nearly six hours after the attack.
“There was an explosion near the door. It was the police, like 50 (of them). They made us walk toward them, we found ourselves in the middle: The police on one side and the terrorists on the other ... For me, it was all very fast, like five seconds,” Fritz said.
