China Confirms Visit of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel

Beijing, Oct 29 (Prensa Latina) China confirmed on Monday the first state visit to be made by the president of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, in the coming days, at the invitation of host President Xi Jinping.
Lu Kang, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told reporters that in addition to the Cuban statesma, President Salvador Sanchez Ceren (El Salvador) and Danilo Medina (Dominican Republic) will also come to China between October 31 and November 8
Xi Jinping will receive and hold official talks with each of the three Latin American presidents.
Last Thursday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi, affirmed that Diaz-Canel's visit will further advance the long-term ties of Cuba and China.
Upon receiving the vice president of the Council of Ministers of the island, Ricardo Cabrisas, the FM assured that Xi attaches high importance to this trip, which is part of the first tour of the Cuban president by countries of Asia and Europe after taking office last April
