Cuba wins third game in a row in Can-Am baseball league

Cuba will try today to extend its string of three straight wins in the Can-Am Baseball League when facing the Rockland Boulders.
On Thursday, Cubans added their third win in line in the North American baseball circuit by beating 8-3 the Sussex County Miners, thanks to strong pitching performance by right-hander Vladimir Garcia plus a 10 hits attack and six errors committed by the rival defense.
Garcia pitched for six innings and allowed one earned run with four hits to earn his second win of the tour, supported by save of lefty Livan Moinelo, who during a couple of innings allowed no runs nor hits with five strikeouts.
Outfielder Luis Robert Moirán and catcher Yosvany Alarcón led Cuban offensive when driving in two runs per capita in the game.
After completing the sweep in the subseries versus the Sussex County Miners, the Cuban team has negative balance of six wins and seven losses in the tour agreed to 19 games against squads of the Can-Am League.
The pupils of manager Roger Machado will face today the Rockland Boulders, third in the standings with balance of 20-13, in continuation of their competitive tour of several cities in Canada and the United States, training process for upcoming international events.
