The last date of the Grand Prix in Baku ended with the fourth defeat for Leinier Dominguez, who finished the contest with only three units. This was his worst performance in elite chess events.

Leinier felt on Monday with the Italian Fabiano Caruana, who along with Israeli Boris Gelfand were crowned champions. On the last date of the event was the Russian Alexander Grischuk who gave the final blow to the Cuban who gave up 24.8 rating points.

The remaining games were drawn, including Caruana and Russian Evgeny Tomashevsky and Gelfand against fellow Russian Peter Svidler. So the first two held six stripes shared leadership.

The following positions were occupied by Russian Sergey Karjakin, Grischuk, Svidler and Tomashevsky, and American Hikaru Nakamura.

After Azeri Teimour Radjabov, who completed 5.5 units, then fellow Shakriyar Mamedyarov and Uzbek Rustam Kasimdzhanov (2706), both with five were located. The Russian Dmitry Andreikin occupied 11 square 4.5 units.
