Young pianists and symphony orchestra at Mozart Havana Festival

Havana, Nov 21 (Prensa Latina) In the framework of the Mozart Havana Festival, the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba is announcing on Monday its next recital, which will feature young pianists Oscar Verdeal and Svetlana Eminova.
The concert hall of the San Felipe Neri Oratory Oratory, in Havana’s historic heart, will be the venue of the concert, slated for November 25 and consisting of pieces such as Gustav Mahler’s Blumine Movement, the Concerto for two pianos and orchestra Kv 365/316 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the Suite from the Pulcinella ballet, by Igor Stravinsky.
Directed by Cesar Eduardo Ramos, this concert is part of the event’s calendar, which encompasses symphonic, chamber, and choral formats, from classical music to contemporary compositions.
The inexhaustible cosmos of illustrious Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart connects today’s musicians of the world in a Festival that bears his name and is resumed in Cuba in person after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Organized by the Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation and the Mozartian Museum of Havana, the fourth edition of this festival will pay tribute to historian Eusebio Leal, one of the major promoters of the recovery of Havana’s architectural and cultural heritage.
Until November 27, several venues in Havana’s historic heart will host new approaches to Mozart’s scores, as well as theoretical meetings and master classes given by renowned performers of this genre from Cuba and the world.
