The authorities of the Communist Party of Cuba, the provincial government and the Cuban Institute for Friendship with Peoples welcomed them at the Frank Pais International Airport.
The Venceremos Brigade will first travel to Guantánamo, where it will begin its tour of the eastern region to strengthen ties between the peoples of Cuba and the United States.
According to the activists, mostly young people, this will be an opportunity to express their rejection of the blockade that their country has imposed on this island for more than six decades, and to learn firsthand about the effects of this criminal policy on Cuban families and the Cuban nation.
